I am responsible for coordinating the Semitic Languages Program. I teach Arabic Language Courses (all levels) and the Modern Arabic Literature courses.
I received my Ph.D. in Arabic/Applied Linguistics  from the University of Alexandria and obtained my M.A. In TEFL from the University of Warwick. My experience in teaching Arabic is extensive; as I taught in the Arab World as well as in North America. My research interests are in the field of Arabic Culture and Teaching Arabic as a Foreign Language. Currently, my research topics include language and identity, cross-cultural communication, and language immersion programs.
